What to expect of your appointment in our office

New Patients:

First time visitors to our office require a consultation appointment. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time to fill out New Patient Paperwork. You may also download and print out the New Patient Paperwork (link below). Your appointment will be approximately 30 minutes at which time you will discuss with your surgeon the advantages and limitations of surgery.   If you and your surgeon agree on a procedure we will endeavor to schedule your surgery during that visit.  This may take an additional 10-15 minutes of scheduling time.) Once the surgery is scheduled, the office staff will then review your pre-operative surgery instructions with you and answer questions that may remain.  After your surgery is performed you will be given instructions to return to our office for a post operative visit.

On the Day of Surgery-- Parkway Surgery Center

The check in area for Parkway Surgery Center is the same check in area as the main office.  After you have checked in, a nurse will take you back to the waiting room.  Your surgeon, a preop nurse and an anesthesiologist (if required) will then individually verify your surgery with you and answer any new questions. Once their visits with you are completed, you will be taken to the operating room where your surgery will take place.  After your procedure, you will be evaluated by one of the recovery nurses.  Once your questions have been answered and you are ready to go home, the nurse will give you postoperative instructions and review these with you as well as give you any prescriptions your doctor has prescribed for you.  Please remember to arrange for a ride home
